Tangerine Trees & Marmalade Skies

Just returned from partying with my friends.
It was slightly more low key than this.
We ate grilled things and watched Across The Universe, which never ceases to be amazing.

If you haven't seen the movie, at least watch this. It's my favorite scene.

The plot is kind of silly, but the songs are so chillingly beautiful, the title track especially.
The Beatles are a constant amazement to me.

"Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes, they call me on and on across the universe. Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box, they tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe."

I mean, how perfect is that?
It's possibly my favorite lyric ever written.

They're glad I approve.

I was feeling rather uninspired this week, not to mention incredibly sick for the past three days, but drinking endless cups of chamomile tea, listening to The Hazards of Love, and sifting through my favorite Sart photos has proved very uplifting.

I have to help paint scenery and stuff for my play in the morning, and then might watch Almost Famous and Saved!, two of my all time favorite movies, with my friend tomorrow night. Any exciting weekend plans?
