In Summer, The Song Sings Itself

The name of the game is...
breezy crop tops, slouchy pleats, strappy flat sandals, and the perfect casual blazer.

Kain tanks, Chloé cotton shorts, Topshop crop tops, Giuseppe Zanotti suede gladiator sandals, Splendid harem pants, Topshop jelly gladiator sandals, MAC Nail Lacquer in Peppermint Patti, Maje silk trousers, Topshop blazer

I must tell you about my Jeopardy audition! I think it went very well, and it was really fun.

It turns out that around 10,000 people nationwide took the online test, and 3,000 of those people got a score high enough to qualify for the regional auditions. Only 375 people in the whole country, chosen randomly from those 3,000, actually got to come to regional auditions, of which I was one. I honestly feel like the luckiest person ever to have made it.

My souvenirs: a Jeopardy pen, and a water bottle that says "Do you have a thirst for knowledge?" Hell yes.

I'm going to find out whether or not I made it a lot sooner than I expected. The tournament is being filmed in the middle of August, so I'll know whether I got on by the first week in August. Which is like... six weeks away. I am freaking out. I want to get on so badly!

In other news...
I am craving some drop crotch trousers and the perfect mint green nail polish.
Nine days until I leave for Paris! If you have any more recommendations, send 'em my way!
I arrived this afternoon at my summer house in Martha's Vineyard. It's one of my favorite places in the entire world, and I'm here for a week with one of my best friends. Plenty of pictures to come.

Hope you're all having glorious summer vacations!

so cool you did the jeproady audition, you're such a unique girl!

oo the sandals are divine

go to pere lachaise cemetary, its haunting and gorgeous. i went to look for the oscar wilde grave which was definitely worth it hehe

cafe de flore is typical snobby french but has the best hot chocolate ever

berthillon by notre dame has delicious ice cream, if a bit expensive

i preferred the musee d'orsay to louvre, but both are cool

angelinas makes the most heavenly pastries, though laduree macaroons are from marie antoinette, candy coated perfection

and i highly recommend going to versailles for half a day, beautiful, make sure to walk out to petit trianon

All my favorite places to shop in Paris are:

1)Killiwatch (64 rue tiquetonne 75002 Paris)It's the best organized Vintage Store in Paris, but sadly not too cheap :(

2) Free'p'Star (8 rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie
AND au 61 rue de la Verrerie)

3) Vintage Desire (Rue des Rossirs)

These are just some nice plaes to start with.... If you need any more or some special advise feel free to always contact me!!!
XOXO

i love the floral top and the blazer and the pants. OPI makes a pretty light green nail polish. i forget what it's called, but it's something like sea foam. maybe.

nice selections! thanks for your comment, annie.
my recommendation would be to check out nytimes.com, get to their travel page (scroll to the bottom of the homepage for all the categories) and they have some exlcellent resources if you type in your destination city OR even search function for paris. there's a feature on a chocolate tour you take on a bike, complete with reviews of the best parisian chocolatires.

i'd of course recommend the usual touristy spots--arc de triomphe, champs elysees, eiffel, but you MUST MUST try pierre herme maracons. and laduree. both, then come back and tell me which one's better!!!
