East Coast Girls Are Hip, I Really Dig Those Styles They Wear

Thank you all for being sincerely concerned with the state of my Monday, but it turned out okay! Cozy pajamas and a fun play rehearsal more than made up for the rest of my day.

Something I wish I had written... the following lyric from "Armchair" by Andrew Bird. The words are five hundred times better than the actual song.

"I dreamed you were a cosmonaut of the space between our chairs, and I was a cartographer of the tangles in your hair."

I want my summer to look like... the new Missoni ads.

Glamorous beachwear, flawless skin, and minimal sweating despite the brilliant sun? Yes please!

The funniest and most terrifying thing I have seen in a long time...

I would like to know your opinion about...

... toe cleavage. Do you like how it looks? Or do you find it weird? I used to think it was creepy, but now I like how it looks. Manolo Blahnik said that "the secret of toe cleavage, a very important part of the sexuality of the shoe, is that you must only show the first two cracks." And toe cleavage sans stockings is part of the unwritten dress code of the Voguette, according to Anna Wintour. Your thoughts?

(p.s. picture is not mine, and i speak of toe cleavage in general, not just for these shoes... found the photo here)

Something I have been craving for days on end...

... the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. If you live out west, I envy you for this. As much as I consider myself an East Coast girl, and even a European girl on occasion, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is one thing that makes me so incredibly happy to be in California, probably because the chain is nonexistent over here (of course, there are stores in Qatar and Malaysia but a location in New York or Boston is simply unthinkable!). My drink of choice is the English Breakfast Tea Latte. It's better than anything Starbucks has ever produced.

A couple more photos from my favorite person on the planet...

I am considering sharing some of my poetry with you guys, because writing is just as much of a passion and mode of self expression for me as fashion is. But I would need to think about what to show you. So we'll see!

Sadly, I must now depart to eat dinner and put on my absolute horror of a frumpy black choir dress for a school concert tonight. See you lovelies soon enough!

gorgeous pictures! i think that toe cleavedge can be good in some cases, like yours, but someimtes it gives the impression of ill-fitting shoes. btw, i love the name of your blog-so reminiscent of alice in wonderland! =)

Toe cleavage bothers me to the point where I avoid it at all costs on myself, but when it comes to other people, I don't really care...

I love the top Hedi Slimane photo, the girls hair is amazing.
And for the toe cleavage thing, i've never really given it much thought. I guess it can look weird but its not a massive concern for me. you've got me thinking about it all now though!!

Toe cleavage. Am so with you, used to think ergggh. But bought a pair of red shoes, not unlike yours but with a bit of a heel, and kinda like it - a bit sassy. Think it helps if the front of the shoe has that pointed form. Toe cleavage on a blunt toe would be back to ergggh. And, of that Missoni stuff. Oh swoooooon.

i don't mind toe cleavage if it's just a little peek of one of two, but that photo kind of creeps me out. it just looks...weird.
