Sticky Hands, Sticky Hips, Stubble On My Sticky Lips

OH. MY. LORD. YOU HAVE NO IDEA.
IT WAS TOO AMAZING FOR WORDS.
THEREFORE, PICTURES MUST SUFFICE.

Dude in front of me and Jess in line was wearing the most delicious skinnies. I had to snap some stalker photos.

Everyone was wearing Converse. And I mean everyone. Literally. We fit right in.

Sign on the merchandise table. I thought it was hilarious.

I had zero expectations for the opening act, Born Ruffians, but they were actually phenomenal. The songs were catchy and interesting, and the lead singer was fantastically talented.

AND THEN... IT BEGAN. Sorry my camera is such crap.

Alex Kapranos is literally the most beautiful person I have ever seen in real life.
You think I am exaggerating, but no.

He was wearing these blue trousers with a short sleeved polka dot button down tucked into them, and a black belt.

AND FANTASTIC BRIGHT RED BROGUES. THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL.

Absolute best were Lucid Dreams, Michael, 40', Ulysses, and This Fire, which was the closing number and just a total shitshow. It was amazing.

Take Me Out, No You Girls, Do You Want To, Outsiders, What She Came For, and Turn It On were equally stellar.

What an absolutely perfect way to relax before my AP test tomorrow.
By the time I post again, I'll be done! Wahoo! Something to cheer about!

Glad you had fun!

Oh, I saw Born Ruffians a couple of years ago when they opened for The Hidden Cameras! They are amazzzzinng and have a fantastic live energy. I saw them when they released their first EP and there was only like one or two people on the floor and the rest of the people in the club were at the bar (including me). I hadn't heard of them when I saw them but I felt very privileged by the end of their set. Amazing!

Ahhhhh!!!
You have no idea how envious I am!
Alex is gorgeous. Plain and simple. I really hope their tour takes them my way. I'd love to see them live!

I love all those songs, but Michael, Lucid Dreams, and 40' are definitely faves :]

hehe, i love that you are so excited! Of all the bands i have seen before they were famous, FF are the ones that went to most massive. And I absolutely knew when i saw them in the small venue, not knowing any of their songs, that they would be ginormous. I saw them recently too, and they're still ace!

I saw Franz Ferdinand about 5 years ago supporting Morrissey, they were really good. 'Michael' is definitely one of my favourite songs, brings back some really good memories.

At least you saw Franz Ferdinand to take your mind off AP test a bit. Good luck on that one btw.

I know what you mean about Alex Kapranos. A lot of people are more gorgeous in person than on camera.

wow, that looks like a great gig :). i love live music, it's one of the best feelings ever!

thanks for the sweet comment on my blog :).
i made my top simply with permanent markers! i had to be careful that the ink didn't spread too much on the fabric, and the edges of the drawings are a little bit blurry, but still quite neat :).

would you like to exchange blog links?
